Software license management for IT teams

LicenseSphere 360 is a web-based software license management tool. It gives IT, procurement and audit teams one inventory of the licenses the organisation owns, who or what holds each seat, what it costs and when it renews, instead of scattered spreadsheets and renewal emails.

What software license management means in practice

Most organisations buy software through several routes: a procurement contract here, a department credit card there, a vendor admin console that nobody reviews. Software license management is the routine work of knowing what you own, who is using it and when each agreement ends, so that you renew what is needed and stop paying for what is not.

LicenseSphere 360 keeps that record in one place. You enter your licenses and vendors, attach purchase order and contract reference fields, allocate seats to people or devices, and watch renewal dates. It is built for the day-to-day questions an IT team actually gets asked: how many seats of this product do we have, who holds them, and when do we need to decide about the renewal.

What you can do with it

  • Keep a central license and seat inventory, with purchase order and contract reference fields on each record.
  • Allocate seats to users or to devices and see what is allocated against what you bought.
  • Install a Windows, macOS or Linux endpoint agent that reports installed software, hourly by default, using a tenant-scoped key you can revoke.
  • Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra on demand to flag seats whose holder has not signed in for 45 days.
  • Receive renewal alerts at 30 days, 60 days and when a license has expired, in the app and optionally in Slack or Microsoft Teams through incoming webhooks.
  • Reclaim seats manually, with an audit trail, and export licenses and the audit trail to CSV.
  • Control access with fixed roles (IT admin, procurement, auditor, employee) and sign in with Google or Microsoft.

Who it suits

LicenseSphere 360 is aimed at small and mid-size IT teams that have outgrown a spreadsheet but do not want to run a heavyweight enterprise platform. It is a multi-tenant cloud service: nothing to install to use the web app, and the endpoint agent is optional and only goes on devices you choose.

It does not give legal, tax or contractual advice, and results depend on the data you enter and the agents and directories you connect. It tracks and analyses; decisions about renewals and removals stay with your team.

Pricing in one line

One plan: $2 per managed unit per month, prepaid and billed monthly through Paddle. A managed unit is either one unique person (by email) holding any number of licenses, or one unique endpoint. A person and their device are counted separately. See pricing for worked examples, or the product overview for how discovery works.
